Wash Society / Your information

Privacy Policy

Draft for review · Updated October 1, 2026

This draft explains how Wash Society ("we," "us," and "our") handles personal information in connection with joinwashsociety.com, founding reservations, and related communications. It does not cover a future live membership service or a separately released mobile app; those services will need their own disclosures before launch.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide. When you make a reservation or communicate with us, we may receive your name, email address, billing or contact information, and the information you choose to include in your message. Please do not send full card numbers, passwords, or other sensitive information in a message.

Reservation information. Stripe processes checkout and can provide us with customer contact details, transaction identifiers, payment status, amounts, and refund or dispute information. Card information is entered on Stripe's checkout page; our website does not receive your full card number or card security code.

Technical information. Our hosting and service providers may process your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, access times, and diagnostic information to deliver the website, understand its use, troubleshoot problems, and prevent abuse.

2. How we use information

We use information to operate the website, process and verify reservations, handle support requests and refunds, communicate about a reservation or service availability, understand interest in our planned launch, maintain records, and protect against misuse.

If you choose to receive promotional updates, we use your contact information for that purpose. You can opt out of promotional messages using the instructions in the message. Service messages about a transaction or request may still be necessary.

3. When information is shared

Service providers. We share information as needed with providers that help us host and maintain the website, process payments, diagnose errors, and respond to requests. Stripe also processes information under its own privacy policy, including for security and fraud prevention.

Legal and business needs. Information may be disclosed when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, protect people or our rights, investigate misuse, or in connection with a business transfer, subject to applicable legal requirements.

At your direction. Information may be shared when you ask us to do so or consent to a specific disclosure. This draft does not authorize sharing your reservation details with prospective car wash partners for their own marketing.

4. Cookies, browser storage, and maps

Our hosting and payment providers may use cookies or similar technologies for website delivery, security, and checkout. Stripe's own disclosures explain the technologies used on its checkout pages. Browser settings can help you manage cookies and site data; blocking them may affect some features.

The optional demonstration portal saves its selected role, scenario, and demo records in your browser's local storage so the demonstration can resume. Clearing this site's browser data removes that saved state. Do not enter real customer or sensitive personal information into the demo portal.

The market map loads map styles and tiles from OpenFreeMap. Those requests send connection information, including your IP address, to that provider. The website's map does not request precise device location. The driving directions shown in our app videos are prerecorded demonstrations, not tracking of website visitors.

5. Retention and security

We retain personal information for the purposes described here, including handling reservations and requests, maintaining required transaction records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. Appropriate retention periods depend on the type of information and the reason it is needed.

We use safeguards appropriate to the information and services involved, but no website, storage system, or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate, whose privacy laws may differ from those where you live.

6. Your choices and privacy requests

You can choose not to provide optional information, manage browser storage, and unsubscribe from promotional communications. Information needed to process a reservation or respond to a request may be necessary to provide that service.

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, a copy of, or deletion of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain uses. We may need to verify a requester's identity and may retain information where legally permitted or required. Applicable rights are not limited by this policy.

The privacy contact for submitting these requests is being finalized and will be included before this draft takes effect. Do not submit sensitive information through the demonstration portal.

7. Children's privacy

This website and its reservation service are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information was provided, we will take appropriate steps to address it, including deletion where required.

8. Third-party services

When you follow an external link or use a third-party service, that provider's privacy practices apply to its collection and use of information. This includes Stripe Checkout and external map services. Review the provider's policy before sharing information with it.

9. Changes to this policy

We will update this page as our services and practices change and show the revision date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before making changes that affect previously collected personal information.

10. Contact

Wash Society — Tampa Bay, Florida. The operating business's legal name and designated privacy email address are awaiting confirmation. This draft will be finalized with those details before it becomes effective.
